Former President of the United Nations General Assembly Will Speak in Alameda
The Alameda Public Affairs Forum presents a talk by Jan Kavan, the former Czech Foreign Minister and former President (2002-2003) of the United Nations General Assembly at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday evening at the Alameda Free Library, 1550 Oak Street. He will speak about "Global Citizenship vs. a New Arms Race". The Forum is co-sponsored by the East Bay UN Association and the Ecunemical Peace Institute. Before the 7:30 p.m. talk, there will be a reception in the ante-room of the Library conference hall. Food and juice will be served from 6:00 p.m. to 7.20 p.m. Voluntary donations will be accepted at the door, but no one will be denied admission for lack of money.
