7th Annual Island Classic sponsored by the Alameda Chamber of Commerce is set for 5/11/2007

Time flies, it seems like just a couple of months ago I was on the links. Alas that would have been smack in the middle of the rainy winter.

Next Friday 5/1/07 at 1:00 pm the work I have put in for the second year in a row will culminate on the North Course at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex with a Shotgun start Blind Bogey Golf Tournament to aid our constantly growing Chamber of Commerce here in Alameda. I have been chairperson of the committee for two fun filled years now. This years event is shaping up to be even better and larger than last year's.

Now I'm no where close to being considered a good golfer but I do enjoy a day on the links with friends, clients and business leaders from the community. Theres something about driving and walking, down a long fairway in search of MY elusive dimpled white ball whilst my foursome is doing the same, that just brightens the day.

While the deadline to sign-up as a sponsor has passed, the ability to play remains. There is no better way to build those business relationships and make new ones than a day on the links with a bbq lunch on the course and dinner and awards following.
