Winter Slow Down

It seems the cooler weather has brought with it the annual cool down in the local market here in Alameda. It was just a week and a half ago that we were seeing numerous properties getting accepted offers on them with a trickle of new listings coming on the market.

This week the amount of homes going pending has slowed to a trickle as buyers are deciding it appears to not have to celebrate the holidays on top of moving boxes.This is nothing out of the ordinary and is expected for this time of the year.

On the other hand though it is the best time of the year for buyers. The activity during this time of year generally consists of very serious buyers and sellers. In other words there is something else driving their need to buy or sell. It could be a job transfer or many other motivating options.
